Boat Shed Managers
We may be a short distance from the river but the RRRS have made themselves at home in our little boat shed! Using it for small projects and a home base for their membership it brings us great joy to have them onboard the good ship Cabarita!

Mildura Birdlife
Local birdwatching group keeping us informed about our wetland health and species
Mildura Birdlife has a very active group who either as a group or individual visit Lake Hawthorn and we enjoy following their facebook page to keep informed about seasonal activity. We have migratory birds from as far away as the artic and these species rely on safe wetlands such as Lake Hawthorn to feed and breed; we are but one link in the chain to a global habitat that is rapidly declining due to development over wetland areas.
